All I Can Do Is Laugh!

Wow really? I hop on my blog just to see what my last post was and it was 9 months (excuse me I have to fish a phone out of the toilet) ago. Wow what a long time. It's all pretty and ready for Christmas.

Well the phone seems to have gone completely down the toilet! I can't imagine why it's been 9 months since I've been on my blog or why I can't seem to find my way back to my craft. Between finances keeping me from printing my photographs and life's challenges I'm just going to have to fight that much harder to return. I will succeed. I will not be defeated!

How am I working on this? Well I have been working on notebooks for all of us living in the house. They are based heavily on the Fly Lady system. You can find her at www.flylady.net We are all three working hard to clean her way and stay tidy. I enlisted the help of my best girlfriend to come and get me back in the scraproom that scared me so. Tonight in fact I was in there making a big mess and moving some more furniture to fit my needs in that room. Lastly I am working on a yardsale that I hope will benefit our house financially and provide me with some money to print some photo's. Well ONE more lastly. I have my name on the email list for a scrapbooking retreat! (At least I'll get a little done)

I didn't read my last post but a quick run down of the new life situation: My husband got a job and is living in Augusta Ga. (well sort of, some little town next to it that I can't spell or even say). He commutes home when he can but keeping up two house holds in hopes that he can work closer to home is very expensive. My step daughter is a teen and well nough said. So that leaves me and my 2 kiddo's making this house run. We are doing pretty good if I do say so myself. With the help of my parents and some great friends and a perfect God we will come out on the other side of this situation stronger.

To Do List Keeping Me Down!

Wow oh WOW. So I sit down to make up a To DO List yesterday because I have been finding myself very scattered. List usually help me to focus. I make out a page worth of things that need doing and I get to work. I set out with the broom to sweep the house. My OCD personality kicked in and I began to move things and really get at it with the broom. Then I decided that I needed to wash dog beds, air them out. Wash rugs and pillows and throws (as if I didn't have enough laundry already!) So hours into just sweeping I realize it's time to go back out and put up the horses for the night.

Of course I didn't just get to put them up, I had to help push a hay bale (HUGE ONE) around under the lean to, we ended up getting fast food for dinner because I'd forgotten to go to the store and get the meat. On the way to get the kids dinner I get a phone call about a delivery I have to make - so we detoured by the house got the product and headed to the meeting place. I made it short as it was COLD! I ran in to look for my old dog a coat and since they didn't have one off we headed. Finally rolling in at 6:45 we finish up what we didn't eat on the drive home and I begin to work more around the house.

I cleaned of the table by my seat in the living room to the tune of an hour or more. This event just ended up making another pile though - on the love seat of bills to be paid tonight then filed (YUCK!) I decided I'd done enough of the productive on my list and made bows for the garland trimming my blinds - AW how beautiful they turned out. I got up and I hung them on each piece of garland and then felt the need to tell all my Facebook friends just how wonderful it was that I'd just save upwards of $20 bucks to decorate my home.

Well that task took well over an house because of course I had to answer emails, reply back to responses on previous comments and read what everyone else had been doing while I had been cleaning and running errands. When I looked up at the clock it was 20 after 10. I'm normally crawling in bed before this time of night. I glanced at my to do list and wanted more accomplished so I plunged ahead.

I finally crawled into bed at midnight last night with just a handful of things to transfer to todays list. I really need to figure out what to let go of but I don't see anything I can drop :( Life -

Can you guess what on that list got ignored? Scrapbooking you might say - but no it cleaning my space. My room is not usable at this time so first things first I must find the time to get in there and make it mine! Well here's to another day in the journey back to my craft. (A clean house is a little closer though).

This Scrappers Journey Back To Her Craft!

Well, as you may have notice the last post was QUITE a while ago. I've been a busy little beaver. First the store kept me away from my craft more than I liked and now it seams that my child and her dreams are keeping me away from it. This however is going to be my journey back to what I love.

How I got where I am and how I plan to get out-

First I must say my heart was broken when I took in my dslr and was told that it wasn't worth fixing. It had only worked for 2 years and this angered me beyond description. Not having a camera has really taken a tole on me. I have almost stopped taking pictures in general. It's very sad. I do have a digital that takes very good pics and I still have my film camera but the discouragement really took it's tole on me. I have pulled out my smaller digi camera and my film camera and have in the last month really made a much better effort to take photos. Now I just need to get them to the developer!

I thought I had all the mojo I needed to get on being super women when my husband and I moved. I was going to have an office/scraproom attached to the living-room (enabling me to speak to my family & watch tv with them). I thought this would allow me my evenings to scrap and work on the business and give my days to my kids. Ah until we discovered that the dining room I was going to take was going to actually have to be used for a dining room. The kitchen was to small to hold a table - ah how sad I was.

Well after this disappointment I pulled up my big girl panties and I moved it down the hall, having to share a larger room with the kids tv was going to work. I saw that I wouldn't get as much time in my room as I hoped but it was still going to be mine! Now that I had my mind wrapped around a different location I found the perfect furniture and everything! Ah I can see it all coming together in my mind. Color choice - Black & Hot Pink with a Paris/Hollywood theme.

And then my husband lost his job. What does this have to do with a scrapbooking room? We were only moving across town and taking our time, so now we have gone from casually moving items from the old to the new house we had to get out of the old house and get it sold or rented. For my scraproom it meant that things just began to get dumped in there and currently you can barely walk in it. It is embarrassing to say the least.

So where am I now? Well hubby found a job - It's not ideal as he is living out of town but we will make it. Everything Scrapp'n has closed it's doors and I am figuring out this horse ownership thing. The horses are still taking a lot of my day but I'm beginning to see a pattern.

So how long will it take this scrapper to get back at it? I don't know, follow along with me on my journey and we will find out together.

I can't believe that I decided to host an online crop in January! I think I have lost my mind. I am going to be so tired before it gets here I'm not going to be able to stay up and enjoy it. Did I mention that I need to be closing the books on the year for the store? Did I mention....

Why do we do this kind of thing to ourselves ( I know I'm not the only women out there who does it)

Where O Where Did My Camera GO?

Ok my good and most beloved camera is wiggi. It eats batteries like candy and I haven't been able to use it all year! So I've been using my smaller camera. Well I CAN'T find it. I went to take it with me to get my pic of the day at the theatre but I didn't see it anywhere. I had to take my photo with my phone.

How does a photographer loose there camera? I tell you if I don't get my house under control it just might eat me next!

I'm keeping up I promise! I just haven't had time to edit and post photo's,not to mention that photobucket has been giving me some grief of late. I hope that you all are taking great or silly or even what you think to be useless photo's.

If you like chats and forums go check out the ES Forum. It's not perfect but it is what we have for right now. Also right now it's just to get us started there will be a few discussions some scrapbooking related and others not so much but it will get to flowing and we will make a BIG deal of it. After the holidays we will plan a crop! I think it will be fun.

Well I'm still doing pretty good. You can see them in the slide show. I'm not however doing as well on the journal. I have plenty to journal about but am lacking the time to do so and the pictures to back them. I'm thinking that I should not have put two projects on each other.

May back track on the journal photo's a bit (shh if you don't tell they won't know).

Hope you are all doing well with your photo a day. It's so easy to to get ou tof the habit of taking pictures, especially if you are behind (or feel behind) on your scrapbooking.

Another Photo!

Well if nothing else this challenge is making me think about my personal blog a bit!

This photograph I set up for my journal photo a day. Even though it is technically Monday I'm going to use it for Tues. I decided to stay up late and watch a lot of the shows that were on the DVR as I was catching up on laundry. I never truly get hungry at midnight but I am using this super late night snack as my "midnight" snack. I hope that it will reveal to others in this house one day that things get done wether it is seen with their eyes or not.

Well with a little help from a friend I have the journal created and bound for this. Due to Ida I'm unable to get any pics. It is dreary, wet and over cast here today.

Last night was family game night. So a picture of the wii games we often play seemed appropriate. I didn't just want a photo of "a game" so I staged a shot. I moved some photo's around on my tables that houses all the electronics. I angled the wii console a bit and stacked up all the wii games to create a not so everyday shot of the everyday.

Now please understand. I am not a photographer nor do I claim to be one. I've never taken classes and I still don't understand the aperture stuff. I do have a good eye though, and I know what I like. Remember you don't have to fall into what is "Correct". To me there is no more a correct photograph then a correct scrapbooking page. If you like it then it's gold! This is for YOU not for anyone else.

I've made the mistake of uploading some pictures to a photo sharing sight not understanding that it was much more for professional amateurs. I had what I thought was one of the most beautiful photographs I'd ever taken up and someone gave me their 2 cents. So I promptly pulled my photo's from that sight. I wasn't their for comments on my talent though I had hoped for positive feedback. Well all that to say it made me remember who I was doing it for. Do you now that everyone who walks in my house asks me who I had take that picture? That alone is more than I could ever ask for.

Today I want to tell you about my Journal photo. I think I'm much more proud of this project.

Every Monday morning I take my kids out to a ranch and my daughter takes riding lessons. She adores horses and always has. I think she got that from me : ) Well anyway. Regardless of the fact that I no longer get my laundry done like I like I find this my "moment of peace" for the day. I'm in the middle of no where, no traffic sounds, no police sirens or people. I just sit and enjoy the smells and the sounds of cows, horses, & dogs - hay ect. I hate when we miss it.

So this picture of Wilma, one of the horses my daughter rides, is my journal photo.

Well my camera and it's card are in my truck so November 5th & 6th are there and to be very honest - I am just to tired to go and get it. Here are my pics for today though.

Ok I have rotated this and saved it and everything! GRR. Well anyway. Today I went to my old church for an event they were having. They had a car show, bouncers for the kids, & a band. It was so great! My husband tied in the car show, by son got to hang with some old friends as did I. So this will be my Photo Journal a day.

This is my photo a day. My husband LOVES to burn out in our drive way with his car! The boys LOVED it but I hate the black marks on the drive (sorry my Dad was insane about our driveway not having oil or ANYTHING on it so it bugs me)

This is for the photo a day album. The result of a son who didn't do his chore. So now he has to do his chore and put all these dishes in the dish washer since no one else could.

This is for my journal/photo a day. I currently teach K4/5 choir on Wed. night at church. I really want to document it due to the fact that we will no longer have choir after Christmas because all of the choir workers (all 3 of us) have started business's that make Wed night tough.

Hope you enjoyed. I also hope to scrap the journal this weekend at our crop and have better journal photo's.

Photo A day for November 3rd

LOL I am up way too early : ) I was planning on heading over to my store's blog and working up the newsletter, yet somehow I ended up here!

Ok well since I'm here I thought I would talk a little about my journal and photo a day.

My altered photo journal has a cute story and more than one picture. Around here I get a lot of computer work done in my pj's before I manage to do what others do when they fall out of bed so please ignore how late in the day I'm telling this. I got out of the shower around 11:30 and headed down the hall to get my lunch only to walk right into my photo and journal entry for the day. My daughter had put up her white board on a string hanging from the top of her door with "Werking on School - Pleas Knock" (Her spelling is something we work on and is a product of a bad private school decision - We homeschool now) - TOO FUNNY right? So now my course is to get the camera only to get the the end of the hall and find the dog gate up with a note sticking out of the top of it saying "coution wet floor. Do not enter here". {My son had to mop the floor after a couple of spill in the kitchen} So needless to say I had to take pics of both and saved the note to put in the journal.

Ok so now for my plain photo a day challenge. My grandmother had this wooden bowl that she always made her biscuits in and now I have it. Well I've been trying to cook biscuits like her for 15 years. About 8 years ago it struck me that I have much larger hands than her so my measurements were no where near right. Well long story short I finally made them last night and they turned out. So I thought a picture of the bowl with dough would be great!

Making a photo journal

I have a little challenge going on over at my stores blog.

Well I decided for myself I would amp it up a notch. I want to improve my journaling skills so I decided to combine my efforts. I can use the camera and my words to make a beautiful piece. The slide show you will see doesn't look like much right now. This is just the rough layout of how the journal will look. There will be no plain white paper and there will probably be TONS of bling, stickles, paint - who knows what I'll add in there. I just wanted to give those that were interested a glimpse at where I was headed. I hope to get the basic papers and journaling cards laid out and use my bind it all to put it together this weekend at our local crop. (wish me luck)

Now I also am taking part in just the photo a day challenge because I really want to just photograph random things that catch my eye that I may not really have anything to journal about.

Dresser to Desk

I am a crafty person by nature and I've never been locked into one type of craft. The other day I started looking for a desk to go in my living room that would fit over the dog bed as we have a small house and are out of room. I found one at Target but it wasn't in stock. I was very frustrated and then remembered the dresser that didn't sell in the yard sale. I took a look at it and it is made of real wood and looks quite sturdy. Well I forgot to take a picture of it with the drawers, but here is one with out them.

Well I went out in the garage this morning and I got the jig saw out and took off the supports for the drawers and got this.

I'm getting excited now. I just have to sand it down so that everywhere I had to cut a support out is smooth and doesn't snag me. I am also going to surf the net to find how I want to paint it or finish it! Can't wait to be able to post a finished photo!

My Creativity

SInce I started the store almost 2 years ago now the time I have to create through scrapbooking is so limited. It is so limited that often I feel to pressured and don't even try. I do however enjoy cooking and well eating. Since I have to feed my husband and kids I can't come up with anything to fill that time slot.

Well last night I was making Chicken Pesto (my version anyway). As I was de-boning one of those rotisserie chickens from Kroger to chop it up I felt the need to smell chicken stock boiling in my kitchen. As I dropped the bones, skin and a little meat in the pot I began to get excited for the future of that chicken stock. My first thought was Chicken Noodle Soup. If you ever make your own you will never go back to Campbell's. Sorry lived on it as a kid but no more.

My husband however didn't seem so excited about the though of chicken noodle soup today so I went on to Chicken and Dumplings. Well I cook with a recipe but not line for line. This morning the stock was done now I just had to find out how to make good dumplings. The net is my salvation on these spurs. Well anyway I knew I wanted to make real ones, with shortening! I found the recipe. I ran to the Butcher and got a chicken - they were so small I laughed at them. The cashier told me she had just made some. So I asked her if she added cream of chicken or milk to her's (as I had seen this in several recipe's), she said she didn't and I was glad the idea in my head wasn't far off of hers.

When I arrived home I strained the stock dropped in the chicken and dropped it in and brought it to a boil, knocked it back to a simmer and went on with my day. In a few hours when I had time for it again I started to play in the flower. When I play in flower I look like a two year old who's Mom didn't know she was in the kitchen. The dumplings turned out perfect and the kids and I (after scooping the chicken out and redraining the stock) started to drop them in one at a time. I was so excited as the house smelled to die for!!!!

Well about a half hour later after I'd pulled the chicken off the bone I split it in half. Half went in the dumplings and half into the extra stock for chicken noodle soup tomorrow. All I can say is WOW it was SOOOO good. I guess I'm excited because I tried it one time with "drop dumplings" and they just were not good. I guess the next thing to try is going to be fixing up a large batch of dumplings and freezing them so that when I want to make it again I can just defrost the broth and dumplings, cut up a rotisserie and put them together.

Yum food. Sitting here now all I can think about is the chicken noodle soup for lunch tomorrow!

If I can't scrap I have to enjoy something - right?

OMG It's been 3 months

Wow! I never realized how hard it was going to be to keep a personal blog in addition to Everything Scrapp'n blog, facebook, flickr, twitter and probably others.

I really don't even know what to say. I have done nothing but work for most of the summer and this evening after running around for the family I'm enjoying a glass of wine and watching Two Weeks notice. I guess I've gotten into facebook rut.

Wow me at a loss for words. Well goodnight and maybe it won't be another three months before I find something to say.

Kenny & Miranda ROCK

So I just rolled in from a Kenny Chesney concert where Miranda Lambert was one of the openers. WOW awesome. I love those two. Other than it being a LONG butt drive it was great. It was so hot though. I wasn't thinking about the fact that we would be OUTSIDE the whole time so I like a fool wore jeans.

Oh did I mention that I can't post pics due to the fact that I took my camera out of my purse at dinner and forgot to put it back in! It was in the car and I was not going to walk back up that hill again.

Well hopefully there will be a much more coherent post with pictures soon. My dog has moved out of my lap and given me permission to go to bed now.

Picture Overload Warning : O Here my work

I've been so busy with the businessthat I've not had time to post anything I have done. I did a few pages on National Scrapbooking Day and then this weekend I've made about 5 pages total. Ok here comes the overload.
I can't link you to many images on these three pages. I bought a kit book at Michael's back in 2005. It came with paper and stickers and such and a lot of this is from that kit. I don't know what I did but in about Oct of 05 I just stopped scrapbooking for a while. When I started back I didn't want to deal with being behind so I just started in 2007 which again I'm behind but so be it. These three are all from Christmas of 2005 which I keep all in one book.

The journaling on this first one reads: Every year at Christmas the kids put up a ton of Hallmark ornaments and when it is all over I have to up them up and I hate that part. So this year we had a home made Christmas.

Go ME! I'm so excited. I have spent the last week and a half cleaning and re-organizing my scrapbooking space. It took a LOT of work. If you had the unpleasure of stopping by during it's bad time you know how bad it was.

In all of this I found that since going digital I have been one of those who forgot to print! Well I got on the old computer, got out the back up cd's and the prints I found while cleaning & sent some 2005 pictures to the printer.

Once I got 2005 squared away I headed to my scrapbooking area. I was so excited to have something to scrap. I didn't realize I had so much printed that I had not scrapped. Why I skipped Oct, Nov, & Dec of 05 I have no idea but I got three pages done tonight and can't wait to get back at it tomorrow. Tiff is coming down with something so we won't be going to church and I'll have till late afternoon before I have a party to attend : )

Wish I could upload pics but I'm having camera issues. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pics with hubby's camera tomorrow.

My venting paid off. LOL A friend emailed and offered to do the blinkie for me. Thanks Again! It looks beautiful! Oh I did find out that the program just had to be shut down and restarted. Not that I could have finished the blinkie anyway due to the fact that I found out I don't have anything for animation.

She is not the first blessing I've been sent this week. I had a friend offer to bring my kids home to me after their ITBS test. For those who don't know I homeschool so I am always with my kids, and it is hard to focus on the book work for my business. Ok anyway. They were to be in testing from 9 to 12 three days. She offered to bring them home so that I didn't have to unload work and reload it in time to drop them off and pick them up. I didn't realize when she offered just how much of a help she would be. I was able to get home and sit and focus and get a ton of work done.

So thanks to those great people who love to help out!

Just One Of Those Days

ARG! Some days I wish computers didn't exists, today is one of them. I need to make a blinkie for the new design team I have at the store. I found what looked like a great tutorial. Well one thing you need to know is I have a mac and to tell you the truth I've forgot more about how to use a mac then I'd like to admit and I've not had time to retrain myself.

I got a free version of adobe photo shop with a pen tablet I purchased. It is constantly closing "unexpectedly" if I have to many pictures open. I don't know if this is a window's program thing, if adobe just can't program for a Mac or what but it is difficult.

OK so I'm making my 10 thousand layers for this blinkie. I get to the point at which I'm supposed to link layers and I don't know what happened but I couldn't get it to do anything I needed it to do. I just don't understand why I am so computer challenged. I must need to go and take a class on PhotoShop or something.

OK Thanks for letting me vent. At least today the stress is self inflicted and not from the kidos.

I have these big chipboard banners from Daisy Bucket Designs. I love it I also used their My Lil Monster paper and paper ribbon. FUN! I took the status idea from myspace so the cards are interchangeable. The close up of pad is core'dinations black magic I just scraped off the black to show the color.
I still need to do some for the girls I just haven't had the time. I did start on my Create '09 album from a challenge on Scrap Gal's. I love the idea of scrapping at least once a week. I've got to get my mojo back up and running.

Ok so it took a while to get back to the computer with time to add my layouts but here they are.

In this layout we were challenged to use a Suess Quote. I don't sew but I bought this machine to use in scrapbooking. I thought the title appropriate. My daughter is learning to sew out of the deal. I also used this as a layout for a use those stamps challenge.

We were challenged to use our stash. This is always hard for me with the store at my own home but I was a good girl and ALL this is older and mine.

This is a layout for a round robin challenge. Someone post a sketch or a layout to be lifted and one person at a time lifts from the last layout posted. It is fun.

Results of my Crop Weekend

Ok so Friday night at like 9 I remembered a virtual crop I had wanted to participate in. I got online and my graphics 45 layout
was my first challenge. It was due by Midnight and I had to make up my mind quick. It was a really cool Simon Says type challenge. FUN! Sat I got up with a mission. I took care of errands and the kids and hunkered down in my room with my iPod and got to work. I was so excited about the amount I got finished. I was able to do some layout for an OLD project that got pushed aside and neglected as well as some really cool layouts.

Ok in this layout I was challenged to use 7 Gypsies. I thought I didn't have any of there stuff until I dug through my hoard of paper. Low and behold there were 2 each of 4 different papers. I also found some black cloth tape that was 7 Gypsies. The only non 7 Gypsies was the chipboard letters and I covered them with paper and Christmas primas (sorry these are sold out). The Chipboard is Lil Davis Love Afair Alpha

This layout is me trying desperately to get my girls to cooperate and let me get an artsy picture of them on the stairs. Didn't happen but we still had fun.

This challenge was inspired by those quizzes that go around myspace. We were challenged to do a layout that included 10 random things about us. These are mine: 1. I Clog 2. I took a Calligraphy class 3. I've never fallen off a horse 4. I love kissing 5. I'm a Sussie homemaker 6. I'm 31 7. I love clothes shopping 8. I must own all primas 9. I'm a natural blonde 10. I'm addicted to digital photography. I pulled out the OLD primas I had in the back of my shelf for this one. I'm still unsure if I'm going to put a picture on it. I'm proud to say that all of this was out of my stash (that I NEED to be using)

This was an ad challenge. We were to get our inspiration off of an ad that was posted. Anyway I really was only inspired by the colors. This is a page for that lost project. It's an album of my photo a day pictures from Jan 2007.

This challenge was to pick a layout out of the Design Teams Gallery and lift it. I was excited because this allowed me to work on another page in the photo a day album and with the American Craft Teen Line .

This is another lift. We were to look at a particular blog and get an inspiration. Mine inspiration was ribbon and lots of it. This is American Craft Teen Line - paper & ribbon this can be found at my store Everything Scrapp'n

This was another lift. I had received these papers and embellishments from a swap I was in ages ago, so again more stash used YEAH!

This was a sketch challenge. I love sketches more than lifts because they are grey and white. I don't get interference with my ideas. I feel more free! So now the materials: This is a sneak peak of what Fancy Pants will be sending out closer to summer!

This is another sketch challenge but his sketch challenge had some "rules" like numbers and types of papers and embellishments. This was another stash user.

This one is my favorite. This is a music challenge. I used "Standing on the Corner of Windslow Arizona" as my song. Last spring the family drove out to the Grand Canyon and on the way we heard about this and I just had to stop. The picture is very bad on the layout because the printer was having issues. I'm going to have it reprinted because it is an awesome picture that shows great details of the place. Under the beer coaster is journaling. The coaster is on twine from a Rusty Pickle album.

Ok well the post is getting long so I will make another post in a few days to show you the rest of what I got done.

I've been scrapp'n some more! I'm so excited that I've made time for the stuff I love again.

We homeschool so your traditional yearbook bought at school doesn't happen for us. The organization I joined offers yearbooks. We all take pictures at events we participate in, email them and a yearbook committee puts them all together. Instead of a class page they have family pages. We scrapbook our own family and turn it in for the book. The size we are allowed is less than 8 x 10 but it is what it is. This is not exactly my typical work but I love this paper and wanted to use it. I hope to do another larger layout or a project with it.

I was introduced to a local group called the Hogs. Love them! : ) I went to their crop a week or so ago and I've been so inspired since. I came home and started cleaning my scrap area. I finished a couple of small projects I found laying on my desk and started some more (I'm a glutten for punishment).

I homeschool my kids and we had a few Valentine Parties. I purchased paper mache bags for them to decorate and take to these parties. Well my daughter is a fellow scrapper but my son is not real interested in crafts. So the morning of his Valentine Party I was making his "bag". I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Love Letter Line

I didn't include the page with is name and stuff but you get the idea. (sorry just try to keep my kids private ish)

BACK from CHA

Wow a new year and new month. Time sure flies when you are working hard. I took on a part time job with a friend in late October and just finished up at the end of Jan. As soon as I was done there I high tailed it to California for another year at the CHA. I love going and viewing all the new scrapbooking products. I prayed really hard to make good choices and it all seem to work out with little stress. I can't wait for some of it to start coming in.

My husband could not go this year so I decided to take the kids with me. The CHA was only locked into Ca until the 2010 CHA. I didn't figure we would have need to go that far for Disney Land when Disney World is just a half days drive for us. So lucky for them they were put on a plane. They really seemed to enjoy it. It was their first time on a plane and you would have never known it. They didn't flip out, they sat back and watched the flight pattern on the tv monitor and took turns looking out the window. Lucky for me 12 hour trips in the car year after year has pruned them for a short 5 hour flight.

My Mom also went with and was the sitter when I had to be in the convention hall. They seemed to do really good except for them getting tired and I figured that was due to the time change. We had a blast and took a ton of pictures.

We also took a day and toured Hollywood and made sure that we put our feet on West Coast Sand

I have been so busy that I haven't had a moment to update about myself. I have been having a hard time juggling my business and homeschooling the kids. I very much enjoy all of these things and feel blessed, but after taking a week off to get the girls rooms redone I couldn't get a moment. The kids seemed to have lost all structure and capability to perform their school work and I felt like I was so behind that I didn't have time to stop and help them get back on track. I have found a blog that a friend of mine does Homeschool Forum and she was talking about personality types and that was some helpful and she is taking "requests" right now so I've asked how to balance all the personality types that I'm working with. I have a structured personality that can only take structure for a small amount of time (part of the reason my house doesn't stay clean). My son shares this with me but my daughter does not. She seem to be very needy of her structure. Well there you have the homeschool part of my troubles this last month. I also had some craziness going on with my internet store and my business blog. It's funny how one day can calm everything down though.

Yesterday was awesome. I was able to just sit back and not worry about school or work. I rested after church and red a book. It wasn't such a good book but the fact that I was able to lay around was worth it. This week will be a little crazy as well. We plan to go to several fun events for school and I have some fun stuff coming up as well. So here was my minute to catch up!

I can't believe it's been so long since I've updated my personal blog. Well I went to California and I had a great time. The flight out was super smooth, I found everything I needed to find with out any problems and even had a great helper at my final destination. He was really sweet and made sure that I got where I needed to be.

Once there I met MJ she was great! We had a wonderful time together. She and I had a class the first morning together, we were able to get lunch together and hang out since we found out we couldn't shop yet. That evening she was meeting some friends and I decided to head off to Disney. I couldn't believe I was going to be able to go and do what I wanted to do at a theme park. I've always been with friends or my kids. It was great. I missed some of the rides because they were closing up when I got to them, but other than that I had a blast. In the end I missed the Indiana Jones ride because after I waited at the Nemo for an hour and a half I had lost all momentum to wait for Indiana Jones.

MJ was so kind as to hang with me and help me shop for the two days that I shopped (of course she had somethings to do herself and classes but she hung with me some). On the last day I decided not to go back to the CHA floor at all. Michelle invited me to come with her and her friends to Disney again so I took her up on it. I used my Disney points so it's not like it was costing me anything. Well it was super fun and we met a great girl in line and she hung out with us too. I had to leave around 1:30 to go back and get ready for my evening tour of LA & Hollywood. I had an interesting time but I wouldn't do it again. I think everything has moved away from Hollywood so there really wasn't anything there except the stars on the ground and most of the tour I couldn't even take pictures of because we were in a bus.

Well the flight home was not as smooth as the first. The flight left late and I missed my overlay in Houston and had to wait an hour. Some of my luggage made it home and some didn't. I finally got home around 1 in the morning and was starving. (I hadn't been able to eat in Houston I was too upset).

Well that concludes the story of my trip. I'm now in the process of getting all my stock straight so that I can go out of town again. My Dad offered to take us all to the Grand Canyon. We of course accepted. Mom, Dad, Tiff, Cade and I will all be traveling by my Suburban out to the Grand Canyon and back. Todd and Darian will meet us at the Grand Canyon for a few days and then fly back home. I'm excited that my kids are going to be able to do this. I had a good time when I had the opportunity to do it so I hope this will be a good experience for them also.

I can't believe that it is here. Tomorrow I will be boarding a plane and flying across the country. I can't wait. I thought I would be nervous but I think I have finally reached the point in my life where I am ready to embark on new things. I have a list of some things I want to do and see. I just got and email that there is a Bubba Gumps Shrimp place right next to my hotel so I am totally going to try it just to say I've been there. I hope to get to go to Disney one day, again just to say I've been there. I also hope to take a bus tour that will take me to Hollywood! And again I'm going out there to shop and not just shop. I'll be shopping for my favorite thing. Scrapbooking products.

I can't wait to post all the great pictures I hope to get also!

The Count Down

Christmas

Ok it's after Christmas, the paper is out of the floor the kids have just about gotten their stuff to their rooms and yet there is still so much to take down. The joys of a holidays.

Well My kids managed to enjoy themselves. We get together for a big family Christmas on Christmas Eve (not many pics to much chaos) we eat in a hurry (cause the kids want to open gifts)and the kids rip at paper and scream and squeal. {see pic of son in chair}

We don't know who gave them what but they seem happy with their treasures we say a blanket thank you and pack up (Santa is coming you know). We put out cookies, clean up for Christmas morning and head off to bed ourselves.

Look Santa has come! Tradition with me since I was about 14 is to bake muffins and make hot chocolate (the warm milk kind) so I still do that in between the LOOK MOM's. The kids play with what they got from Santa while they wait on my Parents to come and watch. This year Dardoo was not with us till afternoon so her pile had gotten quite high.

After all this we go to my parents (when we have Dardoo on Christmas afternoon) and yet again open more gifts. Yikes at all the paper!

Ok this won't let me put pics in after I type so I don't know if they will be at the top or bottom but here goes. Well I got one on top and I don't know if it's my computer or something I'm doing wrong but I'm tired of trying to post pics

Time Flies

Wow - I can't believe how long it has been since I've posted. I have been super busy, I was sick a while and this is the first minute I've had to myself.

We have had our Christmas pictures taken. I went to our Sears, a girl name Crystal does great work and the girls have gotten to where they won't cooperate with me and take good pics.

Cade has lost his second tooth. I won't be getting any of those cute pics with all his front teeth missing. He won't wiggle his tooth so the one missing before is almost all the way in. (I tried to up load photo's but they never work for me)

Ok well we have been working hard on homeschooling stuff and over the last week we have had several fun science projects. The one with the celery in the colored water and growing plants from lima beans and one I've never done before growing a carrot in water. (the top will sprout)

Well Thanksgiving is coming up SOON so Happy Thanksgiving to all. I don't see the need in going on since I can't get any pictures added!

GA National Fair

Ok I don't know why but I really haven't been into the whole fair thing. I'm not big on rides and the people who run them (hear anyway) are creepy. Well my husband and of course my kids like the fair, so yesterday with all the kids we went. It was armband day so the kids actually got to ride instead of being told that they had to pick the ones they really wanted to ride (I mean @ 3 and 4 dollars a ride - thats just another blog in itself)

So we go - October in GA well in North GA it was probable nice but in Middle Ga it got up to 90 and we were out in it. We got there at 1 and stayed till a little after 5 the kids rode everything that they wanted to ride (but one). We were all sun burnt AT THE FAIR! We were all tired and then my son had to go play a football game and then they put him on Def were he is not normally and he had to play harder then normal so he was so worn out. I couldn't even go to the game because I just got sick. I though my head was going to fall off my shoulders it hurt so bad and I though I was going to throw up also.

All this to say The Fair and Heat do NOT go together.

My MOJO challenge #1

This is my first attempt at the Scrap Mojo challenge 1. The arrow is my handmade felt embellishment, The pink sticking up behind the picture contains quotes I love from the movie on one side and then the storie that relates to why I did this layout. It has to do with my parents and the way they have not allowed me to "grow up" even though I have lived on my own for 11 years and have a husband and three kids. Hope you enjoy looking at it! I had fun using some elements I've never used and just to get to sit down and scrap again was very nice.

I hope to get a second layout done for this challenge but we will see if that ever happens. Thanks for looking!

Figured it out!

Wow I finaly figured out how to do some stuff on this blog thing. Go ME! I'm excited. I can now post stuff! Maybe. Soon I'll like my friends and my stores blog and all that good stuff but I just wanted to say I'M ON.

Ok so today I have sat here and plaid with how to change the dumb name I had first and all that other crazy stuff. I got a picture in my profile and I may look at how to put one with a post! Maybe - Maybe not.

Well for those who don't know me I own a scrapbook store. It became official on Sept 26. It was also my birthday. I have had orders but now I need some more. I know it take time to get my name out there but I'm trying. I'm handing out business cards and getting blogs and telling friends. I plan on making some shirts too. I'm hoping that my kids will wear them - we shall see. I have to find my T-shirt transfer paper.

Ok I've babbled on just about enough so I'm going to go and get ready to take my daughter to a Barrel Racing Exhibition. (She wants to barrel race) Oh and that starts a whole new thing if she gets to do that then my son is going to want to ride bulls UG I'll die early if that happens.

Oh well sometimes I feel that as a person I've taken on one to many things. I'm babysitting, working in an office, trying to start a business and I'm still a mother of three. This weekend alone we have dance recital. I have to get three kids and all their costumes, shoes and accesories to all the appropriate places on time and looking like it was a breeze to do so. I havn't had time to clean and put away my scrapp'n stuff in forever so needless to say I can't remember the last time that I got to sit down and scrap (hello that is what I love to do) I need the money though to get scrapp'n stuff and go to the confrence. UG I guess I just need to get back into the groove of things. I have been stay at home mother for the last 4.5 years. Hopefully in a month or so I will be super women again!
